About Frank Kapusta
Lasting Images by Frank Kapusta Photography Farmington, NY. Proud Veteran My introduction to photography began back in my Navy days armed with a new Pentax K1000 and a Navy photographer's ID badge, I shot assignments in color and in black and white for my personal interests. In due time, I also learned the art of the dark room. Eventually, family and career took over where I had little time to devote to photography. Almost 30 years later and armed with a new Nikon D5100 and a 35-55mm kit lens my brother took me on my first photo-walk and I haven’t looked back since. While technology has changed, the technical aspects have remained the same. I spent the next several years experimenting with different disciplines and found that while I enjoyed many of them, and still do, I have concentrated on landscape and portrait photography. While the portrait aspect is for commercial application, my landscape work is for pure pleasure. My goal for my landscape work is to branch out into wilderness photography to capture images off the beaten path and continue to focus on and grow the technical aspect of each image. Finally, I combined my photography with my first passion…woodworking. As a master cabinet maker, my father was my instructor and mentor in the fine art of woodworking. I now bring my images from composition to the gallery with custom framing. My images do not belong to the Public Domain.
